AVAST NO SUPPORT for clients with billing inquiries Internet

I opened a ticket on 9/9/14 requesting to update the number of items purchased on 8/19/14.  I called the 866 number on 9/15/14 since I have not had any additional information regarding my initial request.  I was advised the only available option for resolution is to submit another ticket which is very poor business functionality.  The 866# person said they only deal with software issues and there is no way to speak to someone.  I initially received an automated email response that I would be contacted "as soon as possible".  The support person sent me an email link which only led to more confusion and dissatisfaction.  This website is not user-friendly and is not clearly noted that contact with a person is not available.  The website support section should clarify the only resolution to billing inquiries is through the ticket process which is atrocious.
