I went to purrfect auto on durango and russell to get my oil changed, the bill was well over 200.00. I asked them why and they said I told them to do a tune up. When I realized what they were doing,I told them to not do any spark plugs and they said they already did it and it was too late after 5 minutes?. I told them to put my spark plugs back since they were fine:. I had my husband call in to talk to them so I wouldn't get ripped off,. They refused to give me back my car unless paid them 120;.00 for the labor?. So they refused to also do an oil change, filter or anything else'. They told us not to come back because my husband said to them that they were trying to rip us off.. They said my husband was disrespecting them....hmmm this sounds familiar reading other complaints. Keep your wallet safe and don't waste your time at that pit.

They did EXACTLY what YOU told them to do!

There really is no such thing as a "tune up" anymore.

Nowadays, a "tune up" consists only of changing spark plugs, and a quick visual inspection to see what else is needed.

How did you know that your spark plugs were "fine"?

And, if you and your husband know so much, why did you not just do this "tune up" and/or oil change  yourselves??

You never mentioned what year, make, and model of a vehicle you have, or the mileage.

It does make a difference in determining the validity of your report.

When you put a car in for service, you need to be very specific on what you want done, and get a written estimate.

Stupid and lazy is a bad combination.

A basic spark plug change at a shop on a V-8 will cost at or above $100.

An oil change with good oil and a quality filter on that same V-8 will cost at least $70.

Then there is the tax, misc and shop supplies charge.

That $200 bill was NOT unreasonable for what YOU obviously asked for.
