So all your dreams haven't come true, maybe it takes awhile for the inertia to build up. I'm assuming that by the name of this church that it is a Catholic church. I've heard of all sorts of things happening at these churches. Sodomy, rape, child molestation, corruption. You're lucky you just sent the rug in and didn't actually step foot in this pit of despair!
My advice is to trust in yourself, and if Father Flannigan wants to take little Timmy camping, run! Oh, and make sure to take little Timmy with you when you run, that gleam in Father Flannigan's eye isn't from the love of the lord.
