On Friday, January 25, I went to Sears Automotive in the DuBois Mall, PA to have my Chrysler Town & Country van inspected, oil changed, and a new brake light installed.  The sales representative, Mike, attempted to sell me a more expensive oil for high mileage vehicles, I declined.  Next, he attempted to sell me an anti-freeze change for $80+ and would offer a $20 discount today, I declined.  While my van was in the shop, I received a phone call from Mike indicating that there was a problem with my van that would prevent it from being inspected.  When I arrived at the counter, Mike said that I my van needed a $200 circuit board since the a new brake light bulb did not work.  I declined the $200 circuit board and told them that my husband would inspect this problem.  Later that evening my husband installed a new $2 brake light bulb in van and it worked perfectly.

On Saturday, January 26, my husband and I went to Sears Automotive and requested that my van be inspected since the brake light works after he successfully installed a new $2 brake light bulb. My husband questioned Mike as to how he could have possibly charged $200 for a new circuit board when he was not required.  Mike went and got the automotive technical and he explained that when he installed a new brake light bulb yesterday morning it did not work; therefore, there must be a short in the circuit board somewhere. This is a very periocular explanation...don't you say.
