SEARS CANADA Emergency no hot water call, sears tech would not repair, we had to get our own 3rd party repairman to fix problem now sears wont reimburse us, we cant afford this. BELLVILLE Ontario

In October 29 we had our Sears rental oil fired hot water heater start smoking and quit working for us, we called the sears contracted repairman who came out on the thursday to check it, and said it is non repairable you will need a new one.

He then continued to tell us that he would not be able to install a new water heater for us even if he had a new one to install, he said he has no time to take care of it for us.

So we went another 2 days without any hotwater for me, my pregnant wife and my 2and half year old boy. all the while putting emergency no hot water calls in to sears that got us no where. On the 5th day we decided to get our own 3rd party repairman to look at the water heater, he was able to clean it and repair it to get us going with hot water.

He gave us a bill for the work completed in excess of $350.00 we called sears with the news, sears told us to submit the bill with a letter explaining what happened and they will release a a check to us. A month later i called the sears hotline to find out that they have denied the claim and that we are on the hook for having sears hot water heater fixed after there contracted tech condemned the heater and would not fix or replace. we can not aford this bill we are straped as it is. and sears continues to collect there monthly rental fee for doing nothing.

I am utterly disgusted with the way Sears have decided to handle this situation and they have not heard the last of me on this matter. I will get to speak to the CEO Mr. Dene Rogers if it takes me a yr he is going to hear my story.

Another situation where the big guy takes money from the little guy and steps all over him...being me in this case.
