Straight Talk, Inc Verizon Wireless VERY QUESTIONABLE SERVICE PROVIDER, COULD NOT FIND MY PHONE NUMBER IN THEIR RECORDS AFTER 6 MONTHS OF SERVICE? Miami, Florida

I HAVE ENJOYED USING MY STRAIGHT TALK CELLULAR PHONE SERVIVE FOR NEARLY SIX MONTHS, WITHOUT ENCOUNTERING ANY PRIOR PROBLEMS. HOWEVER, TODAY (3/3/2010) I TRYED TO LOGIN TO MY (ESTABLISHED) STRAIGHT TALK WEBSITE ACCOUNT AND RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE: "My Account is currently under construction. For now you can Activate your phone, refill your Service Plan or enroll in Auto-Refill. Just click on the appropriate tab!"  FOLLOWING THE LAST MENTIONED INSTRUCTIONS, I CLICKED ON THE "REFILL/ENROLL" BUTTON/TAB IN A ATTEMPT TO LOAD MY $45.00 REFILL CARD I HAD RECENTLY PURCHASED AT WALMART. AS PROMPTED I ENTERED MY STRAIGHT TALK CELL PHONE NUMBER AND  RECEVED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE STATING " "The Phone Number entered is not found in our records or has an invalid status. Your Straight Talk phone must be Active in order to complete this process."  USING MY STRAIGHT TALK CELL PHONE (WHICH HAD A "Service End Date: 03/04/10") I CALLED THE 1-877-430-2355 TELEPHONE NUMBER THAT IS SHOWN ON THE BACK OF THE STRAIGHT TALK REFILL CARD. OMG THIS IS WHERE THE NIGHTMARE REALLY BEGAN. FIRST I LISTENED TO THE STRAIGHT TALK GREETING MESSAGE AND THEN WAS ASKED TO HOLD FOR THE NEXT AVAILABLE REPRESENTATIVE, THIS SEEMED TO TAKE ABOUT FIFTEEN TO TWENTY MINUTES FOR A REPRESENTATIVE ANSWERED. WHEN I FINALLY GOT TO TALK TO A REAL PERSON, I COULD NOT HARDLY UNDERSTAND THE GENTLEMAN BECAUSE OF HIS TERRIBLY BROKEN ENGISH. I ATTEMPTED TO EXPLAIN MY DELIMMA TO HIM AND HE KEPT ME ON THE PHONE FOR ALMOST ONE HOUR, NOTHING WAS RESOLVED. HE COULD NOT EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I RECEIVED THE ABOVE MESSAGES. THEN HE WANTED TO PUT ME ON HOLD AGAIN WHILE HE SPOKE TO HIS SUPERVISOR, I POLITELY WAITED FOR A COUPLE MORE MINUTES, WHEN HE ANSWERED AGAIN HE ASKED ME TO HOLD AGAIN WHILE HE TRANSFERRED ME TO ANOTHER REPRESENTATIVE. WELL APPARENTLY HE (ACCIDENTLY) HUNG UP ON ME.  I CALLED THE 877 NUMBER AGAIN, THIS TIME I RECEIVED A RECORDING INSTRUCTING ME TO DIAL *611 ON MY CELL PHONE, I DID AND THIS TIME I REACHED A "VERIZON" MESSAGE. AFTER MAKING MY SELECTION, I WAS TALKING TO ANOTHER STRAIGHT TALK REPRESENTATIVE, THIS TIME IT WAS A LADY WHOM SPOKE VERY POOR (BROKEN) ENGLISH. WE TALKED FOR WHAT SEEMED LIKE A HALF HOUR, SHE TOO ASKED TO PLACE ME ON HOLD WHILE SHE SPOKE TO HER SUPERVISOR REGARDING MY ACCOUNT PROBLEM. WHEN SHE RETURNED, SHE INSTRUCTED ME TO TURN MY CELL PHONE OFF, REMOVE THE BATTERY AND CALL BACK ON ANOTHER PHONE. I QUESTIONED WHY THEY WERE HAVING SO MANY PROBLEMS FINDING MY PHONE NUMBER, I DID NOT GET A CLEAR ANSWER. WELL, I FOLLOWED HER INSTUCTIONS, TURNED OFF MY PHONE AND NOW I WILL GO FIND ANOTHER PHONE TO CALL STRAIGHT TALK BACK. WHAT A TERRIBLE RUN AROUND.

Same problems with Straight Talk

I also reported this company on this site and will report them to BBB.  There are just too many problems with this company, I'm having these same problems plus a couple more.

I am wondering what ever happened of your situation. I am having the same exact issue and they keep telling me it will be resolved in 24 hours and everything you are going through I am as well. I have had 10 ticket numbers. Did your service end up resolved?
