Student Loan Resolve Student Loan Resolve, Inc Advertised on Facebook. Beware! I was lied to! Internet

Student Loan Resolve called me after I clicked on a Facebook link that said student loans could be forgiven.  I spoke with an advisor who said that if I did not consolidate my loans with them I would be making payments of $353/mo for 300 months.  If I used one of their probrams using my 2013 tax return info I would pay $192.56/mo for 300 months.  The last "program that I qualified for" was the income based program, and if I consolidated my loans through Student Loan Resolve my payments would only be $49.90/mo for 300 months and she said I would save $31,690 off of all of my loans because of Obamas wonderful programs and my interest dollars would not be accruing.

This is not what the contract says!!!  The $49.90 is a fee that Student Loan Resolve drafts automatically each month for 300 months on top of four payments of $124.75!  All  fees and nothing put towards the loan!!!! I was told that the $49.90 was the only money I would owe on my loans. The truth is that the contract is highlighted stating that the $49.90 is a fee and is not put towards any part of the loan.

I called back the same day and inquired about this and again I was mislead and told that the $49.90 is towards the loan and that the Student Loan Resolve was a completely legitimate company.  I slept on it overnight and when I had access to a computer I did some research and found a similar complaint on Ripoff Report. 

I called back again and spoke with the same person for the third time.  After 40 min of hold, transfers, hangups, re-dialing, I finally was able to speak with a supervisor who began to talk in circles to keep me in the program. I saw on the website that I was allowed to cancel within 3 days and I would not be charged for anything. 

I was assured that I would not be charged and that I would receive an e-mail stating exactly the same information (proof on cancellation).  She said I was informed incorrectly because the person I spoke with was new.

You are able to do a loan consolidation program for FREE through the department of education!  I had even asked if there was a fee free program anywhere and was told "No".

I have not seem my e-mail come through yet saying that I am cancelled from the program.
