Supra Telecom Practices Thievery Winter Park Florida

I cancelled my account with Supra Telecom after being with them for about 7 years and finally got fed up with what I was paying for service and regular price increases. I was advised by my new carrier, At&T that the switch was done successfully and completely on/by Nov. 4th, 2008.

On Oct. 28th, 2008, I called Supra Telecom to confirm the cancellation of service and requested a new pro-rated invoice. I was advised that Supra does not pro-rate cancelled service but, they did, however, pro-rate new service! I did question whether this was legal (how can it be?), as Supra is a service company and I was being charged for services not used nor rendered. I did, however, tell the Customer Service person, that I would pay the bill in full and before the due date (which I did) because as my Supra account would show, I have never not paid a bill and have never been late with payment. I went on to say that I would, however, speak out about this occurance and Supra may have gotten undeserved money from me but will probably and hopefully lose a lot more.

On Dec. 1st, 2008, I received an invoice, dated 11/21 with a due date of 12/16 for service from 11/21/08 to 12/20/08. I attempted to called Supra to discuss the matter and held for 58 minutes before hanging up with disgust and frustration and tried again later and held for another 32 minutes. The next day 12/2/08, I called promptly at 8AM, when customer Service would be open and held for 68 minutes at which time I was summarily disconnected by Supra Telecom without, once again, speaking with anyone.

I am positive I am not the first (ex)customer this has happened to and surely not the only person to be complaining about Supra Telecom's unethical and surely illegal practices. So, I cannot believe or understand how they have been allowed to continue to do do business as usual and what is essentially, thievery!!!
