TaxAct Said to do my tax return for free and then charged me complete my returns. cedar rapids Iowa

On Feb 3.2017 I found an advertisement on the internet offering to perpare, print, and file tax returns for free.  I had used this company before so I decided to use them again.  All through the process of preparing my return, I was asked to up-grade to a different service.  I declined all their offers to up-grade. as my returns are very basic.  When I completed my return I was told it was time to print my federal and Iowa returns. 

I proceded to print but when I hit the print button I was hit with the $ 15.00 charge to print my retuns.  As I spent some time perparing my returns I went ahead and used my credit card.  When the printing of my federal return was done I was told to print my Iowa return.  I was hit with a $ 29.00 charge to print my Iowa return.  That was when I was done with this rip-off company.  I then found a different tax service on the internet making the same offer FREE.  (((REDACTED))) is the service I used and I prepared, printed, and filed both returns for FREE.

Also (((REDACTED))) saved me money as the payment I owed on the federal return was less than the return TaxAct figured for me.
