We placed an order for some custom pipes on 9/29/08. They took $809.00 from my account on 9/30. We were told 4-6 weeks. We were later told they take 8-10 weeks.
In November we emailed them and actually got a response from Thumper saying he contacted the manufacturer and they were on schedule. We should see them in 2-4 more weeks.
We are now going on 12 weeks and no pipes! I contacted the manufacturer (after some research) and they told me if the order had been placed, the pipes would have been here long ago. No order had been placed.
So, not only did they steal my money but they lied to us in the email about the pipes being "on schedule". This tells me they are committing blatent FRAUD!
We have filed a report with the BBB in Texas as well as our bank.
Bet Dad Rick is turning in his grave over how his company is now being run into the ground!!

I'm so sorry to hear all the rip-off reports for TTC... And yes, you are correct - Dad Rick the original "Thumper" probably is turning over in his grave, and his original partner and best friend of 20+ years would like to crawl in it with him...
Good news is TTC is in the process of being repossessed and the rip-offs are coming to an END!
The bad news it didn't happen soon enough... It sounds as though they've ripped off MANY of their customers, and totally wasted what was once a thriving company with huge potential and thousands of happy and returning customers.
The original webmaster has regained ownership of www.tejasthumpcycles.com and it's currently shutdown for restructuring... If it shall return is yet to be seen. As it too has fallen victim to this scam, left totally empty handed and financially handicapped.
I hope your vengeance is sweet. Good luck with the BBB and your bank.
