Travco Enterprises Travco Enterprises Ignores Solicitation Signs - And Are Argumentative About It York, Pennsylvania

I live in a private community that has a very clear, large "No Solicitation" sign and "No Trespassing" sign at the endtrance. I'm a member of our homeowner's associate board.

A group of people from this company were going to door to door soliciting their services. When my house was approached, I kindly reminded them of the sign. The lady said they had a permit, but I told her this was a private road and the no solicitation sign negated any permit, by Baltimore County law. She then went to the next house as if I hadn't said anything. I asked to to stop, and told her I'd be watching her to make sure she'd abide the law.

She went to her manager down the road. He approached me with an attitude and said he had an "appointment" with my neighbor, and I couldn't stop him. It turns out my neighbor opted for his services despite our policy. He told me I was too late to stop him. I told him I had no intention of stopping him, however he could not solicit any further business door to door in our community. He continued to argue with me, saying he had a "permit". I told him the same thing I told his employee.

I placed a copy of the county law under a wiper on his vehicle. He later read it and laughed at it as he drove off.
