I financed a 1992 ford escort from Ugly Duckling in 1998 3months later the fan in the engine stop working. I called ugly duckling, took the car back and they so-called fixed the fan. 3weeks later the fan broke again while I was on the way to San Deigo California and the engine overheated and blew a gasket. I was stranded In tamecula california for 16hours at a Weinersnetzel with 4 kids and my sister.
When i finally called Ugly duckling back I was told that I would have to pay out of my pocket to get over $1000.00 to replace the engine or have one rebuild and I would aslo have to reemburse ugly duckling for towing my car from california. I refused to put any more money into that car in any way and it is stil on my credit. In short Ugly Duckling is a horrible car dealership and I wouldn't refer my worst hated enemy to that place.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
car - simple resolution really

What does your contract say regarding warranties? If it isn't covered, you're out of luck. You bought the car. It is yours, problems and all. Next time, get a mechanic to look at a prospective car and get his determination in writing if you intend to buy it. Small investment but could save you a lot. If it should be covered, sue in a Small Claims Court. If it isn't covered, stop complaining. This is not a whining forum, it is a rip off forum.
