United Parcel Service incompetence Atlanta Georgia

I attempted to overnight a package with UPS. In the package was my wifes renewed passport. She had to fly to Kenya to her mothers funeral who passed unexpectedly at a young age. My wife is a legal resident of the US (Me and my son are americans). She needs her passport to get back here to Florida where she works with hurricane relief for victims. I sent the passport overnight to her brother in Kentucky (from Florida) so he could take it with him when he got on the plane. They failed to deliver it on time. They did nt call me or anything. I discovered it while tracking the package. So I went to the store I sent it from and called customer service and was told by both that they would immediately overnight it back to me. I was also told I would get my refund at that time. Well I tracked it today (three days after I sent it) and they had delivered it to my brother in laws residence in kentucky. But Ooops! He wasnt there but was on a plane to Kenya! That would be why I sent it overnight. So they left it on his doorstep!!

So now they tell me they will TRY to pick it up on MONDAY!!! MONDAY!!! Five full days after I sent it! Who is to say it will even be there!! What kind of incompetent indiocy is this? Why did they tell me they were sending it back?? So now I will have to drive to Kentucky this weekend and just hope it is still there. That will cost me about 2 hundred in gas (one way). Plus I will have to send it to Kenya as quickly as I can. If I can even get it back. In the meantime they haven't refunded my money! We had to pay for my mother in laws funeral, an on the spot plane ticket Half way around the globe (lots of $$), and I need to take off work to go to kentucky (gas $, travelling expenses, missed work) and in the meantime they keep my money. What exactly is it I am paying for? They did not deliver my package, in fact about the only worst thing they could have done was just toss it out the window on the highway. I THINK THEY SHOULD PAY FOR MY EXPENSES TO GET IT BACK, AND FOR ME TO SHIP TO KENYA (FAST TRACK)-and I sure wouldnt ship it with them (they should have to pay fedex or DHL)!
