About 2 years ago I opened a shipping account with UPS. Within a few weeks after opening my account I received a bill from UPS for packages sent. These packages were all sent from different states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Michigan..etc. I am in Iowa.

The first bill I received was for over $100. I called them and was given credit for the bill. About every month or two I would recieve another bill from them for packages that I never sent. I Have never used my account to ship any packages.

About a year ago I decided to close my account after receiveing another bill for over $100. I called UPS and they gave me credit for the bill and I told them to close my account.

About two months later I started getting bills from them again. These were for $30 to $40. The first couple of bills I received from them I called them and they gave me credit for the shipments. I again asked them to close my account. I asked them if my account was closed and they said yes it is. I asked them why I am receiveing bills if my account is closed and they said it was a billing error and my account is closed.

Everything was OK for a couple months then I started getting bills from them again. The last bill from them was for about $24. I threw the first bill away. The next month I received another $24 bill that said Overdue. I called UPS and asked if my account was closed. They said Yes. I sent the bill back to them as delivery refused. I am now dealing with thier collection agency Allied Interstate.

I would like to get the word out about this problem that I am having. I am sure if they can't keep my account straight when I have never sent a package through them how bad are they ripping off the companies that use UPS and don't take time to research each shipment that they send? Anyone else ever have this problem or am I just the lucky one?
