A year and a half ago, my husband and I wanted to find a tenant for our Sherman Oaks home. We saw an ad online for Remax agent Vanessa Ellis. Vanessa is a agent with Remax.. She came to our home, said that Remax could get our home leased and manage our property for a up front lease fee & $100 fee a month. Little did we know, as a agent Remax can only place your home on the MLS website and get it leased only... However Remax does NOT do property management !

At the time, we were informed Remax Accounting would deposit our rent to our account on the 12th of each month, via direct deposit. But we were paid late all the time! Vanessa Ellis told me to contact Nora in accounting. I would call so-called " Remax" accounting department and ask for Nora, she was always out of the office. I would say to the receptionist on the phone this was unprofessional and I want to speak with someone at "Remax" accounting that was over our account! I was told they could not give that info out!

Long story short, I finally called the real Remax headquarters in Denver. They gave me the owner/ broker information of the Remax office located at the address above. Consquelo Vandensteen told me herself that Vanessa had gotten in trouble before for Misuse of company name, and that Vanessa fails to tell her clients that it is her own property management company.. She wants you to believe Remax! She calls it Remax Residential Management Group.. Like it's a subdivision of Remax!! Her scheme is to collect security deposits from many tenants, charge repairs with no proof of invoices, then take money out and charge a $100 monthly fee from homeowner! When we poke to our new tenant.. He and his wife were under the same misrepresentation.. Thinking they had signed a 2 yr lease with Remax property management. Vanessa and Nora( accountant who is really located in Chicago) ..are Frauds ! They even have a " ghost office" located on Wilshire Blvd. to send checks to ! Gaining trust off of Remax name! ... Stay away!!!!!
