Vanguard The Vanguard Group, Inc. Misleading investment amount Internet

I signed up for a traditional IRA with Vanguard. At no point in the set up process did their website mention there is a $1000 minimum to buy into the target date retirmenet mutual fund. My plan was to set up the account on automatic monthly debits. Your money does not earn interest if you want to save up to buy into the $1000 minimum mutual fund.

What is frustrating about this is that when I canceled my account the money I moved over is reported to the IRS and now I will lose 10% of my money due to early withdraw penalties.

Other than that their customer service was rude and their entire process confusing!
