Webb Ford ripoff STAY AWAY FROM WEBB FORD Highland Indiana

My fiance & I went into Webb Ford on Wednesday Novemeber 17, 2004. We were planning on trading in a 2003 Ford Escape on a pick up truck.

We managed to find a truck that he liked and the salesman (Joes Salas) told us that he would have no problem getting financed on this vehicle alone and that his payment would be at max $500 per month. We still weren't sure, but the salesman said - "go ahead, take it home - come back on Friday & we'll figure everything out. No obligation to buy" - I specifically asked him - "If I don't sign the papers trading in the Escape, nothing is final - right" & he said - Nothing is final until you sign the papers trading in the Escape.

We took the Escape & the Ford F150 home on Wednesday. My fiance went back in on Friday w/ the intention on buying the truck. He also brought in the Escape. He signed a contract (including the trade in of the Escape), paid his down payment & left the lot.

I was at work all day & when my fiance & I talked he said that he thought the the dealership screwed him. I told him - I didn't sign off on the Escape so that contract you signed CAN'T be valid.

I called my attorney & he said take the truck back & get me Escape back. I still owned the Escape....Since I didn't sign saying it was okay to trade- the contract couldn't be legal.

I called the dealership & talked to the salesman & explained to him that I wasn't going to sign the papers trading in the Escape & that I wanted to come in & pick it up. He told me that the Escape had been sold all ready and that if I didn't come in and sign the papers that I was going to be sued by Webb Ford & that they were going to sue my fiance.

So as of right now - they have the Escape. I tried to bring the F150 back & they said they would tow it. Also - until I sigh the papers - I am still responsible for the payments on the Escape....

I am trying to find an attorney to take this & help me....We'll see what happens.
