Webb Ford Stay Away! Service Department is Shady! Highland Indiana

I would rate this as a negative star if I could. Do not take your car to WEBB Ford. I took my Mustang for service to WEBB Ford. They told me (and charged me for cleaning the throttle body). Then, they told be there is sludge in the engine and I needed a replacement. When I picked up my car, the service advisor had no idea what was happening. She said they took off the valve covers but their service manager, VINCE, said they did not. They throttle body was NOT touched. There was, literally, still dirt on it (undisturbed).

The oil pan was not dropped, they could provide one shred of anything to back up anything they said. The service representative, SUSAN, and the Service Manager, VINCE, couldn't even keep their stories straight. I tried to call the General Manager but he did not call me back. My only guess is that I was a woman and they tried to take advantage of me.I will be putting a hold on my credit card for services not received (the throttle body hadn't been touched, let alone cleaned) and I am filed a case with the BBB for fraud. Stay Away!!! They are liars and thieves. 

Oh - by the way, I have taken it to another mechanic. The car simply needed the throttle body cleaned and a tune up. I truly believe that they tried to upcharge me for an $8k engine that I didn't need.

FYI - I always buy my cars new. I have two Ford's and a Chevy. I have lived in 4 different states and always have my maintenance done at Ford Service Centers because I trust good mechanics. However, this service department seemed unorganized and RUDE. I felt slimy just walking out. I will go back to Ford but definitely not this dealership. It truly has a culture of treating customers poorly and performing sub quality work in my opinion. I will be in the market for another new Ford soon and I was ready to buy until I realized that I was being scammed. There are plenty of other service centers for me to go to. Its a shame when I think of how many people they take advantage of every day.
