World Lending Group ripoff Manhattan New York

World Lending Group based out of NY is a complete scam. Tried to obtain a personal loan thru them this week. Documents are riduculously professional looking. I spoke with a Michelle Johnson and she was very friendly. I explained to her that I had just been scammed out of a large sum of money and she assured me this would not happen with her company. Even faxed over a business license. I was asked to wire $700 to Kay Brown in Windsor Ontario, Canada (yes, i know, first sign) to secure an insurance policy on my loan. Once I did that, half of my loan was to be deposited into my bank account within 6-12 hours. Needless to say it wasn't, and now I can't get in touch with anyone. I have to say that I felt comfortable with transfering funds because everything she was telling me made sense and assured me numerous times that this was a legit company and I believed her. I figured that b/c she knew what had happened to me before that she should have some kind of heart and not want to scam me again, boy was I wrong!! Now the original number that I contacted her at is disconnected ~ 1-866-241-0502 and the other number that was being used 1-866-737-7957 is ringing with no answer and the voicemail box is full. I notified her via fax that I would be contacting the autorites, which I already have. I'm just surprised that she would have risked it with me since she knew that I was going after the previous "company" I dealt with. Figured she would have known I'd do the same with her. I'm hoping this hasn't happened to anyone else. I didn't find any negative reports on the company on this site, so I felt confident... my mistake. Don't send any money to anyone in Canada. It's all a big scam.
