Aetna Coventry is trying to bill me for late penalties that even Medicare says are not accurate. I was totally covered by my previous employer until 8/31/2019 and have the documentation to prove it. I started Aetna Coventry on 9/1/2019.
Aetna is trying to say that I had no medical benefits from May through August. Aetna is trying to back bill me late penalties each month from May through August in addition to saying that I will have to pay late penalties each month for the rest of my life.
Aetna tried to say that it was a federal issue, but I went to the local social security office to show them what Aetna was doing and they agreed with me that the billing from Aetna is not accurate. Aetna is a rip off company.
This is only one of several issues that I have with them as they are not paying anything that my manual for coverage is showing. There are several good healthcare providers out there who provide medicare programs, but Aetna is not one of them.
