Canadian Vessel Registry They performed a Bait and Switch by requesting necessary information that I am unable to provide AFTER taking my fee.

I filled out the application in full, paid my fee, including a '$70 'priority' fee and was then asked for further information I am unable to provide, not unwilling but UNABLE to provide. I immediately contacted them by chat on their site to request a refund as I was unable to provide the information they required and was told I had to submit my request by email, which I did immediately. Two days later, I received this email:

"Good day,

This message is written in response to your cancellation request.

Please be advised that the documents requested from you are required in order to provide you with the applicable documentation for your vessel. 

However, at your request, documentation processors assigned to your file will cease all further operations on your application and your application will be cancelled in accordance with National Vessel Registry Corp's Terms and Conditions as per your request. 

In accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the website that you've already accepted through use, all application and processing fees submitted remain non-refundable even in the event of cancellation.

As requested, continuing operations on your file will cease, and your application will be cancelled as it currently exists.

Clearly, Thomas Brown is lying as this organisation had no time whatsoever to allocate this application to anybody during the few minutes it took to initiate a claim for a refund. This is a third-party company which I have since found out provides no actual service whatsoever as the official Government agency provides the same service for free. In addition, the 'priority' fee is a joke, as the 'priority applies only to them posting off your information to the Government agency and there is no priority given to your registration as far as the Government Agency is concerned. Basically, it is just a scam company the relies on applicants not searching for and reading the small print.
