I had a small cut on my finger while at work in New Jersey. Since I wasn’t familiar with the area, I called an ambulance to take me to the nearest hospital or emergency room for stitches. I ended up at Valley Hospital’s emergency room in NJ. When I arrived, the ER wasn’t busy—I was the only patient there. A nurse came to examine my cut and assured me it wasn’t serious, saying they would simply put in a few stitches.

However, things took a strange turn when a different person, Dr. Nancy Moontasri, approached me. She began asking questions unrelated to my injury, such as my religion and where I was born. I told her I was Jewish. Then, she claimed I needed surgery and insisted on putting me under general anesthesia. She said the surgery would happen in a day or two once a room became available, and she wanted me to stay in the hospital with my finger wound open until then.

I firmly told her multiple times that I did not want surgery and only needed stitches. Despite my repeated refusals, she kept pressuring me to agree to the procedure, warning me about potential long-term damage to my finger—which was untrue. I insisted that the nurse handle my stitches, and I left the hospital after about 30 minutes. My finger healed fine after the nurse stitched it.

A month later, I received a letter from Dr. Nancy Moontasri’s private clinic demanding $9,459 for services I never received. The letter falsely claimed she had performed surgeries on my neck, hand, and legs. I called the clinic to dispute this fraudulent charge, explaining that I never visited her clinic and she did not perform any surgery on me. Surprisingly, they responded by lowering the amount to $3,000, asking me to pay that instead. I refused to pay for services that were never provided.

Now, I’m being harassed with letters from lawyers and even a debt collector. I left a message at her office stating that this was a scam and fraud, but the harassment hasn’t stopped.

PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS FRAUD! If you’ve experienced something similar, consult an attorney immediately to protect yourself and other from the Dr. Nancy Moontasri scheme.

I don't know how she does this to some people but I think she has a way of discriminating people's ethnicity. I won't endulge much because my lawyers are working on a lawsuit with Dr. Moontasri

Seriously?

You called an ambulance for a minor cut to your finger? Have you heard of band-aids? Or urgent care clinics? No wonder our healthcare prices are through the roof.
