Goggles4U Damaged my personal property, refunded to reimburse Cerritos CA

This company is somehow able to delete bad reviews so I am reposting my November 12 review in multiple new sites. I will keep reposting this as many times as needed. Bottom line is they damaged my frames and tossed out my lenses for a pair of designer sunglasses they were supposed to re-lens. I also note that they have discontinued the relens service because it’s so incompetent. They refused to acknowledge the damage and try to say that I damaged them myself. They tried to say their standard practice (not commuicated or published) is to throw out lenses and they did acknowledge that they damaged them. But still refuse to pay me for them. Obviously, in the process of damaging my lenses they also damaged the frame in that same area. They actually forced me to pay to send my own glasses back that they damaged.

I have reported their dishonest practices in multiple websites and they would rather keep fighting it than to give me the $100 a requested in compensation for the damage and loss incurred. Do not do business with a shady company like this. You might get lucky getting a cheap pair of glasses here and there, but any type of ethical company would acknowledge fault on their part.

Edit 12/9/24 in response to their blaming me again: Obviously they started production on something that they "could not fulfill" and extorted me by saying they needed more money for a different service (which they already completed) without asking for my consent. This is unacceptable. The glasses should have been returned to me unharmed and untouched. They admitted that they TRASHED my lenses (that I bought elsewhere). The lenses were so damaged they hid the proof.

As for their "relensing policy" of trashing old lenses, that was entirely internal, not published anywhere, and made up for this situation. They can try and sound professional when this is really just a CYA person hired to reply to make these reviews look better. It was NOT communicated to me the customer. And no one ASKED if I wanted them back because they knew they messed up, and were hoping I wouldn't complain. And the frames were damaged in an exact pattern on top and bottom of each side, in the shape of pliers. Coincidence? NO. It makes no sense why they would admit to damaging the lenses and not realize that the frames were also damaged. They are 100% unwearable now as sunglasses because they threw out the lenses and damaged the frames so much that they are unwearable. Pieces of plastic are squished in the top and bottom of each side in the shape of thin pliers.

They offered no refund for their mistakes, only a concession of next pair of glasses you order are free. Why would I want to deal with this company again? I was truly shocked when they tried (and continue to try) to gaslight me. Sure it's not a ton of money, but at this point I don't think ANY company should be able to get away with this type of consumer fraud. And force me to pay to get back my own damaged glasses. I was sure a simple picture and explanation would be met with concern, and say "oh no! that's not acceptable, our apologies, we will replace the cost of your glasses" (I sent them a receipt for the purchase).

A free pair of generic sunglasses clearly costs them nothing, since they can't afford to refund me $100 for the damage caused, and would rather be defensive and lie than actually make a customer happy for a nominal amount. If 1 person can be saved from whomever is running this customer service department, then that is enough satisfaction for me.
