It initially started with me and my wife going in to get a payday loan since we just got a new home. We gave them all our bank account info and income information as requested. This was difficult because they wanted our HR department to fax an authorization letter and their fax doesn't work. They wouldn't except us being business owners and 1099 contractors. Even though our businesses have been open more than 15 years none of that was exceptable to them. Thankfully we have 4 jobs. So we used our 9-5s. I filled out my application and it took them almost a week to process. At which point it was 8 hours away from us getting our paycheck. Which is sort of pointless for us and easy money for them. After having to walk in the contracts back and forth we were finally finished. Upon arriving back with contracts final and signed. Myra, the manager of 15 years. Who is extremely rude. Started crossing things out on my contract. Literally half the contract she crossed out and altered the info. Then submitted it. AFTER I signed it... I gave them 2 bank accounts info. She crossed out the 8 year history one and put one recently opened. It was denied due to not having a bank account that was open long enough. Because she altered it and changed what I wrote and signed. I then got a letter from corporate saying this and that my credit score was 749. Which wasn't an issue. Corporate said refill out the application and bring a pay stub and I'd be fine. I went back with a pay stub. And they lady, Myra yelled out, "You were denied already, what are you doing here?" I told her I spoke to corporate and related the message. She was very disrespectful and demanded to know who I spoke to. I showed them the email. And she said no, it's because your bank balance, X amount and your credit score being too low. Which was very insulting, and a violation of my privacy and how they handle private bank and personal info collected. Their were other people present at the time. It felt like it defeated my character with her lies, due to her fraudulent and unprofessional procedures. I told a co worker my experience and he told me this location is a known predator that feeds on taking people's car and house titles. That he lost his car for missing a payment and another coworker they kept and put a lien on their house wrongfully against contract agreement. They refused to move and filed a law suit to keep their house. But we all had miserable experiences with this place. Myra should not be in finance or customer service and that Money Tree on Virginia street should be audited and investigated for predatory loan and contract fraud.

Also, I requested a copy of all my paperwork and information they had on me. Which by law anything I sign contract wise I'm entitled to a copy of. They refused... My wife asked that she take her paperwork and be removed from their database. They refused to do that as well.
