My troubles started when I believed the slick ads Nature Hills posts all over the Internet. I don't know WHO they're buying off at Google, but Multiple sites appear for their company Before Anyone else. I ordered a Linden tree from Nature Hills (henceforth known as NH) It arrived- broken in half. The packing was not the best, but I'll give them the benefit and say it was not their fault. I contacted the company and heard nothing. I needed the tree, so I reordered (I regret this) and figured I'd settle things with them later.

In the meantime, I took photos and sent Those. Second tree finally arrived. Now I didn't need Two trees, so I requested a refund. Was told I could only get a replacemnt. Asked to speak to a supervisor. Was not allowed access. After much discussion, I was finally offered one of their so-called "gift cards" :-l. Didn't really need them, but ordered two maples to replace the now un-needed Linden. Ordered two because ordering only One would leave a balance on the "gift card" and I sure as Heck didn't want That now. Problem is, I would need to spend Another 50 bucks to do that. Took a deep breath and crossed my fingers...

Those trees were dead on arrival, but I planted them the morning after their late afternoon arrival and hoped. Two weeks and no sign of life. Called the company (when they still took phone calls) and spoke with Barry. Was questioned and asked to do "viability testing"- pull the trees, scrape the cambium, take root pictures, etc and sent them. What the Heck? Spending a couple of pics is certainly reasonable, but Come ON! I'm a Master Gardener! Two weeks and not even a swelled bud...They're DEAD, Fred!!! Oh, Then I was told that I would only get credit for One tree because I didn't purchase any more of their "insurance". Keep in mind that this was a replacemnet for the original botched order for which I Did purchase their insurance. So I'm out over $150- nothing to show for it. No response to my emails-they've shut off the phones to customer service.        I even tracked down their "CEO" and contacted Him!!! Nothing.

These guys are at Best- Incompetent. I feel 'crooked as a pig's back leg" is more accurate :-(

My only hope is that this company folds sooner than later. They spend a TON of money in their advertising and IT Depts. I fail to understand why they can't deal woth their customers with Some level of integrity.

I'm going to contact the Attorney General/Fraud Division in Nebraska...
