ReservationDesk.com I called for a reservation for a trade show.

I called to make a reservation for a Hyatt Hotel for a reservation for a book show in Lexington, Ky. I specifically asked for the special rate for the show. The person I spoke to told me he could beat the rate and I made the reservation only to find out TEN minutes later that the event was NOT being held at that hotel. I called back and attempted to cancel the reservation, but was informed that the reservation was non-refundable. I filed a complaint with the site and received the following response:

Hello R Barry Andrews,

Thank you again for contacting us regarding your Hyatt Place Lexington reservation. We have reviewed your inquiry, checked our records, and made a request to the hotel on your behalf to obtain approval for a refund exception. Unfortunately, we have been informed a refund will not be made due to the hotel cancellation policy that was provided at the time of booking. We value you as a customer and we are sorry we did not get you the resolution you desired. If there is anything else that you need, please reply to this email, and we will do everything we can to assist you.
