I received an informed delivery message that the package was being delivered, but over the weekend, there was no delivery, I went to the post office, Michael Albruzzese Supv Customer whimsically smiling told me that the package was missing. Late he wrote in his email: The package was returned to sender for insufficient address as the address on the package just says Brook DR. I do see in the tracking that t appears that the package came back to our office but I am sorry to say that we can not find the package in our facility.

It appears that it might have gotten sent back again with out a another scan letting us know the location. We will of course continue to investigate this matter but at this time we are unable to locate the package again I do apologize for the inconvenience. on MON Nov 18, we came to the post office searching for the box and spoke with "Hyden", another supervisor, who stated that he did open the package, describing "some quilts" being in there, then he made disappear the tracking number and the package altogether worth 4500 in US DOLLAR hand made tribal clothing and accessories.

I filed a lost Item search and heard nothing ever since.Hayden another "supervisor" is the one who opened the box, looked through my dresses and other items, stating he seen some "quilts" and then the tracking number "came off the package" and the address label "fell off" and the package disappeared, hayden stated he sent in to Georgia? why dint he return it and affixed the tracking number and the address? why did he open my package and rommaged through my clothes? Theres only one Maria Coutinho in Brick, and 2 Brook Drives, only shipping cost was$240, total loss $4740.

That box...

AUTHOR: Flint - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, December 21, 2024

That box looks like it was already in terrible condition before it was sent to you.  If you are shipping things internationally, use a sturdy NEW AND UNUSED box and a proper adhesive label!  People don't seem to be aware of the fact that their box will travel thousands of miles piled in a truck or a cargo hold with hundreds of other packages on top of it, will slide along miles of conveyor belts and chutes, and will get dumped into and out of large bins.  A box that's barely held together by 50 layers of tape is not going to survive that.  If the corners on a box are soft and rounded, it has no structural integrity and should not be used to ship anything.  A piece of paper taped onto a box has a large probability of coming off.

I'm guessing the box disintegrated, the label tore off, and they could no longer determine where the package was supposed to go.  That's the main reason why they open packages, to try to determine who the package belongs to when the label comes off.

Also, using the word "stolen" is disingenous.  I seriously doubt anyone except yourself has a use for these items, and they definitely are not something that can easily be resold.  The package is just lost, which happens all the time, especially when international shipping is involved.  Open a missing mail case, and the USPS will probably eventually deliver it if the box is still in one piece.

Also, the post office is not going to guess who the recipient is.  If the package cannot be delivered as addressed, it will be returned to sender.  There is generally no tracking for packages that are being returned, and it can take a while.
