Their website says: Plus, it's completely FREE for 30 days. You truly have nothing to lose. But these statements are lies.
And as advertised on the internet by their contracted, paid advertising service businesses, the claim is as follows:
These businesses have been advertising VirtualShield by offering a monthly fee of $3.24 to $3.99 a month, with a thirty-day FREE TRIAL period. This "MONTHLY FEE" leads many to believe they would pay that amount each month over the term of A ONE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION, but these specifics are avoided being talked about by VirtualShield until AFTER the customer provides their credit card data, at which time the customer is informed that because of the special price they are signing up for a two year subscription.
These advertisements never disclosed the term or payment procedure’s until you BIT at the BAIT, then, once you gave them your credit card information, they "began to close the trap" on you and your money.
There is no 30 day free trial period. Once they have your credit card data, they inform you that your special price requires you to prepay for a 24 month 'subscription' in which they graciously give you a FREE MONTH, a 25th month of service, and will be charging you credit card the first business day of the second month.
Once you fall for their FREE MONTH TRIAL of their service, YOU BOUGHT IT FOR TWO YEARS. NO REFUNDS.
So, their advertising is fraudulent and deceptive, and they us "classic" "BAIT & SWITCH" illegal advertising.
True "30 day free trials" means to most everyone, 'I get to drive this software for up to 30 days before committing myself to purchase the product'. Sort of like "test driving a new car before buying it." Also, the deception of "NOT DISCLOSING THE TERM OF THE SUBSCRIPTION" before taking a customer’s credit card information.
