Wal-Mart Their online published price was raised by 58% by adding an undefined "additional Fee" at checkout, with no explanation. Bentonville Arkansas

I had ordered an article of clothing online as a holiday gift from Walmart.  When I went to checkout, I noticed an additional cost of $23.50 had been added to my bill. The item simply read "Additional Fee".  After trying to get an answer from various sources, I finally resported to contacting Customer Service trhough their online chat function.  My initial contacts there at Walmart also had no idea what the "additional fee" represented and they did not find it anywhere in the product description online,. I spent time myself combing through the language tio see if I had missed an explanation... there was nothing there. Eventually, witht he help of some supevisors, I was told that this "fee" must be a "Marketplace Fee", added on by the supplier to the cost of the sale.  

Walmart acknowledged that there was no explanation on the product description but they would not honor the printed price ($39.99).  They tried to offer me a $15 discount even before they found out what the "additional Fee" was.

Ultimately, they acknowledged the fact that the price listed was not the price they were going to sell it as. The "additional fee" had to be added.   I believe this practice is not legal in any retail establishment. The listed price IS the price even if it had been marked incorrectly. In this case, Walmart stood y the fct that the price of the item was, indeed, as noted, $39.99 BUT in order to receive it, I would have to pay an additional $23.50.  

I belive this is an unethical sales process and, if this was widespread, there would be significant marketplace confusion. I wish to complain about Walmart's dishonesty in regards to its published prices.
