I spent an entire day searching for the right Resume writer on-line. I finally decided on http://www.1-on-1-resumes.com/. I ordered a resume a cover letter and a $65 job-hunter kit (a list of companies they suggest contacting).
FIRST. When placing the order there is a designated area where you can manually click on the Add-on's you want i.e cover letter, follow up letter etc...
Strangely within that same page they place CC info?
Followed by the "Agreement" and beneath that inconspicuously nestled within the Agreement section they have an active charge for $29.95 that is already "checked off" for you - for a service that allows you to download the resume from their website for a year?
Now as an active online shopper - that seems very ODD to have a Add-on placed AFTER you have have already entered your CC info and are ready to check out.
Normal protocol is a checkout cart listing item by item of your purchase before CC transaction. So when I receive my total I am of course surprised since its more than expected - I email them twice regarding the total - they reply and say they have credited my account for the $29.95.
Alas I discover what the $29.95 only after I go back to the site for the 3rd time to try to understand where the charge came from. Now mind you they made no attempt to explain what the charge was - only after receiving my credit to they list what the service was.
SECOND I receive the $65 jobhumter kit, with company name and address - Companies I have never heard of. So I start my research - I go online and look up these companies. About half of them do not have websites, others are obviously small companies that don't even offer employment opportunities, the rest aren't even companies that are relevant to what I do? A complete waste!
I Email them again expressing my anger and grievance over this ridiculous list of companies and instead of an explanation or apology they the have the audacity to critique my email for grammatical error's !?*# And never even breach my complaint over the list.
This is a UNPROFESSIONAL company that does not have the clients best interest at heart. From the results of the list I wouldn't be surprised if this is some computer generated garbage that is spewed out and emailed.

Dear Joseph,
I am very sorry that you were unhappy with the 'job hunter' portion of your resume. I had not seen this until now and it does not appear you ever contacted our customer service department to let us know about your dissatisfaction. Had you done so upon receipt of your resume & job hunter, we would have worked with you to promptly remedy it and/or issue you a refund then. I trust all was well with your resume-- I've looked it over and came out quite well.. I do hope you're gainfully employed now?!!? In any event, I am issuing you a $65 refund for the job hunter. Please call or text my personal cell phone at 352-250-4220 to confirm that the address we have on-file remains the same---so I can send it out to you by company check.
Our site 1-On-1-Resumes.Com has received a major facelift since the time of your order and our systems have improved dramatically. We have never added the extended download feautre after CC processing-- It simply appears on the same page as an add-on-- much as software companies due with their own extended downloads. I do see that our writers explained the fee when they refunded you---but the response when into your client service account with us--where you can check it via log-in.
Please let me know if you have any questions--and call/text re: your address for that refund...
Sincerely,
Andrew A. Greenstein
