This Bank has charged me over draft fees in the past. But until Sept 2012 did I really look at them. My online bank statement should all my pending transactions had cleared and I spent some cash leaving enough to have a positive balance. My next visit to the online statement I show 2 over draft charges in the amount of 69.94! I go to the bank, and the teller prints out the bank report and it shows the charges I though were cleared in the statement I viewed online were not! I was in the red because of the way the bank payed the transactions!

I have tried to close this bank account and get the run around about a $1 dollar charge (there is 2.96 in the account) and they wont close it til that $1 dollar clears! I have since turned off all over draft charges!

Notice What You Did Not Say!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, September 29, 2012

I have read and reread you posting. NOT ONCE did you reference your check register, your record of transactions or your own figures...NOT ONCE! Why? Because you don't keep any records of this account's usage. Because of your lack of proper management of this account, you used the ATM card or checks WITHOUT HAVING A CLUE as to what the real balance is! You can blame the bank all you wish but the facts, which you have very clearly disclosed, are your failure to keeping written records of each and every transaction and doing the math after each entry is what caused YOU to over draft your account! Its quite simple...if you want to avoid overdraft fees, you keep written records and keep a running balance. If that balance won't support the usage of the ATM card, you don't use the ATM card! No...I don't work for them. As for the bank...if anybody from there is eavesdropping...why not increase those NSF fees! Its very easy to increase your profits by taking advantage of those who won't properly manage their accounts! Its a money maker! Many won't ever learn their lesson! Increase those fees...there's money to be made!!!
