First National Bank Of Texas, 1st Convenience Bank charged pre-auth fees and then charged overdrafts even though the pre-auth fee was removed. Killeen Texas

The bank charged my account a pre-auth fee and then added two overdraft fees. One for the $75.oo 'ping' and one for the actual charge. They sent me a message saying that I had to call the company from which I got the gas and get a letter faxed over to say they would not process the $75.00 amount. They have removed the $75.00 but there are now two over draft charges on my account. one for the $75.00 which was not an actual charge and one for the $24.44, the actual amount of gas that I purchased.

The $75.00 was not a 'real' charge and should not have made my account overdrawn. They have removed only the $75.00 and kept both of my overdrafts fees. I called the Murphy gas co and they did fax a letter over explaning this yet the charges remain.

I can get nowhere with this bank. They seem to add charges at the worst times at random just to collect. They charge to call and I KNOW they would then charge me overdraft fees for that if they could too as they have waited two weeks another time to apply three one dollar charges for using an ATM outside of thier bank and then applied $33.00 overdraft fee for each of those long after the actual amount withdrawn from the ATM had cleared.
