I will let the numerous entries speak for themselves. I,too, have fallen victom to the MyPerfectCredit.com scam. Their thug credit collectors 1st Credit of America hound me day and night. However, they messed with the wrong person. They've violated my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act of 1977 by refusing to send me written documentation of this debt and how I can dispute it if I believe it to not be true. Law says they have to send such letter to me within 5 days of first contact. They also try to collect more than the alleged debt that I owe. MyPerfectCredit.com claims that I owe $136.80 for charges they assessed 7 days AFTER I called and canceled. 1St Credit says I owe $180, but if I pay right there over the phone, I'll get a discount and only owe $130. "Anna" at 1st Credit of America told me so when she so kindly called my home on 7/23/05.
An attorney (my uncle) is reviewing my documentation and will send a letter to the FCC and state Attorney General. My first cousin is a senator, so I am sure the right people can be called. I am fighting back!!! These people violate consumer rights and now they've messed with the wrong person.

MY EXPERIENCES WITH THESE CLOWNS HAS BEEN SIMILAR TO THOSE ABOVE. THEY ONLY CLAIM I OWE ABOUT $60 (I DO NOT OWE THIS DEBT), BUT IT IS THE LOW GRADE EXTORTION THAT REALLY HACKS ME OFF--"PAY THE MONEY NOW AND WE WON'T SCREW UP YOUR CREDIT". HERE ARE A COUPLE OF SUPERVISORS AND THEIR DIRECT TEL. NUMBERS AT FCoA: SCOTT SMYKEL 312-948-2949 AND CHRIS LEWIS 312-948-2854. YOU PROBABLY WON'T GET ANY ANSWERS, BUT YOU CAN INTERRUPT THEIR DAY THE WAY THEY DO OURS. THANKS TO THOSE WHO HAVE POSTED USEFUL INFO HERE; I PLAN TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THE CEASE AND DESIST LETTER. I HAVE ALSO FILED TWO COMPLAINTS WITH THE FCC AGAINST FCoA FOR THEIR PRACTICES AND FAILURE TO COMLPLY WITH THE LAW. HERE ARE LINKS TO THE STATUTE AND COMPLAINT FORM:
http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.htm#805

IF ENOUGH OF US FILE COMPLAINTS, MAYBE SOMETHING WILL BE DONE.

I did find out that most of their collection calls originate in Israel using VOIP!!! hence the deep accent (if you can understand them at all).

I would like some advice, maybe a copy of the documentation your state's attorney general has. It's my hope that it will light a fire under my own attorney general. Could you please contact me directly at my yahoo email "texanagainstfraud". I also want to hear from all TEXANS so that maybe we can look into a class action lawsuit.

Oh my GAWD!!!!!!! You'll never believe it!!!! My attorney contacted the office of the Attorney General here in Nebraska. The Attorney General called these crooks ( I had reported BOTH MyPerfect Credit.com and 1st Credit of America) and they agreed to wipe the debt free. I am supposed to get a letter. Now since these guys are so shady, what they say and do may be something different. If they bug my again, however, I have some leverage now that the Attorney General put some heat on them. I fought this because of the principle of it all. Now to all of you, I am telling you what worked for me. If you have been wronged, contact the AG in your states and the states that these jokers operate in.

I got an email from MyPerfectCredit.com They aknowledged the fact that the BBB contacted them because of a claim I have made. Again, I get the same old response, "turned over for collection because of a debt owed prior to the account being closed." Whatever. I also feel my rights, as defined by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act of 1977, are violated when 1st Credit of America (1stcofa) calls my house on behalf on MyPerfectCredit.com in attempt to collect that alleged debt. 1stcofa has not sent me written notification of who they are collecting for, the amount and dispute instructions within 5 days of first days of contacting me. The law says they have to, and I have repeatedly asked for that letter when they call my house. Of course, as you all know, the request falls on deaf ears. I am not putting this request in writing at this time because I turned the matter over to an attorney. Let him deal with these people from now on. Also, 1stcofa attempts to collect more than MyPerfectCredit.com alleges that I owe, but will offer me a discount if I pay right then over the phone. Oh buy, if I give in and pay right now, then they'll remove that inflated $50 charge and I'll end up really paying what I am supposed to. "Anna" with the thick Bangledesh sounding accent calls on behalf of 1stcofa and feeds me this line of crap. What a freaking joke! I also filed a complaint with the BBB against 1stcofa today. Both 1stcofa and MyPerfectCredit.com signed for my registered letters that I sent last week questioning the validity of the debt. We'll see what else will happen.
