3B Software Inc. do not know How can one generically check for web software scams? Arlington, Texas

I would like to reinforce the February 26, 2009 comments of Cyndie from Warren, Rhode Island (Ripoff Report #428697). Eleven months later, on January 12, 2010, I got scammed by 3b Software Inc for $48.47.

What lessons have I learned? How can I detect other, web-software scams? I conclude that I should go to either Google or Bing and use a generic search phrase, xxxxxx scam or xxxxxx complaint, where xxxxxx is the name of either the software company or the software title. For example, if I start typing 3b software in Google, the search engine provides me with six different completions:

If I use bing.com for my search, I get completely different search results for

3b software scam

Only the second search phrase Is useful for detecting a scam. I conclude that Google is better for detecting scams because for any of the six different completions, I always had a complaint written by a scammed consumer. A much better strategy is to join Ripoffreport.com and search for the offending software company. I joined today, April 1, 2010 [Sorry folks, I seem to do lots of perfectly reasonable tasks on April Fools day. I am invigorated both by the onset of spring and by this special day.] At Ripoff Report, I am now known as Roland, and I live in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Assuming that the business location of 3b Software, Inc. is in Arlington, Texas, we scammed folks should use post mail (USPS) to send a brief letter of complaint to the Office of the Attorney General of Texas. I used bing.com to obtain the following URL from the Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbot: http://www.oag.state.tx.us/consumer/scams.shtml .

In my opinion, 3b Software Inc. is a menace to society; the company is much too creative with its deceptive. software titles. For example, I am on their email list and have received 3b emails advertising the following:

If you are interested, perform a Google search the above list of thirteen software titles using the xxxxxx complaints search phrase. In the process, you will learn how to spot complaints on each first Google page, respectively. For example, I identified eight software titles that were suspicious. Also, five software titles required more information than was available on the first Google page.
