A & E Watches A & E Exports LLC Dishonest and Deceitful Internet Watch Dealer-Ripoff Professionals!!! San Francisco, California

On 12/13/09, after viewing A&E's website I phoned this business to check on the availability of a certain TAG HEUER Ladies Wristwatch, listed as item #TAGH11 on their website, price: $930. I spoke with Jennie L. Jones, Sales Manager. This watch was, AND IS STILL TO THIS DAY, advertised as having a WHITE FACE, and apparently, available for immediate delivery. As this was to be a Christmas gift for my wife, I wanted to be sure I would get this watch by Christmas, and was assured by Jennie that the watch would be shipped and I would have it "by 10 o'clock this Tuesday". I paid for the watch at this time by credit card, (posted 12/15 to my acct.) When the watch finally did arrive, it appeared to be authentic, but had a BLACK face. On 12/29, my wife spoke directly with Jennie and indicated that this was not what was ordered and requested a return authorization to RETURN AND EXCHANGE this watch for the one that was ordered with a WHITE face. Jennie said that she would email a shipping label that afternoon. On 1/5 my wife emailed Jennie and said that we had not received the label. When we eventually did receive the return authorization, my wife returned the watch EXACTLY AS RECEIVED, and that return was signed for by Jennie on 1/12/2010. After multiple phone calls over the ensuing weeks, and being told each time that the watch had been "Pulled" and would be shipped the next day, we finally began to see that we were being, well, not misled, but LIED TO. Finally, I called Jennie and asked "where is this watch?" She said that they were going to " swap the face on OUR watch with a white one and that it will be shipped tomorrow." Serious doubts now, as you can imagine about the HONESTY AND ETHICS OF THIS COMPANY!!! Another week goes by, no watch. Another call to Jennie. Now the story is that they are "waiting for the white face to come in". At this point I said "cancel the order, I will contact my cc company and initiate a charge-back". Jennie said not to do that, that she would have their accountant, or some such person issue a credit to my cc account, and email me confirmation of this that afternoon. Well, guess what? That, of course, NEVER HAPPENED!!! On 2/2 I sent an email to Jennie Jones and Avi Dayan, the owner of the business detailing what steps they could expect me to take should my cc account not be immediately credited. This included multiple negetive internet reviews of their CORRUPT BUSINESS PRACTICES, as well as initiation of cc company charge-back proceedings, and the filing of a complaint with the San Fran Better Business Bureau. There was no reponse to this email from either party. 

It is my contention and belief that this watch WAS NEVER ACTUALLY AVAILABLE FOR SALE, a crime of "False Advertising" on the books of most states, and that these people KNOWINGLY use the internet to COMMIT THEFT BY DECEPTION. By the way, this business HAS MADE NO ATTEMP TO CONTACT ME REGARDING THIS ISSUE, OR ANY EFFORTS WHAT-SO-EVER TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM!!!!! Any HONEST BUSINESS WOULD. I am currently waiting to see how this will be resolved by the CC company, and to see what response, if any, will be made to the BBB by THIS CROOKED AND UNETHICAL business owner. Should this business VOLUNTARILY make a "Good Faith" attempt to resolve this situation, I will post that here, to be fair, even though they have NOT BEEN FAIR TO ME.
