I guess it's tis the season to by naughty for some discount merchants in NY. Tom has been sucessful in exposing Priceritephoto.com in a classic bait and switch operations.

When Tom suggested that he might write about his experience to Store Manager "Steve Phillips" (didn't he coach for the Mets?) He was met with a harsh reaction.

""I will make sure you will never be able to place an order on the internet again." "I'm an attorney, I will sue you." "I will call the CEO of your company and play him the tape of this phone call." "I'm going to call your local police and have two officers come over and arrest you." "You'd better get this through your thick skull." "You have no idea who you are dealing with."

After harassing Tom for over 20 minutes on the phone, Phillips decided to call Tom's boss and threaten him as well. (don't ever get anything shipped to the office from this company)

When Tom blogged about his experience Digg picked up on the experience and an angry internet flash mob unleashed their wrath on this shady vendor.

I just posted on A Heffco Technologies, priceritephotoe and a bunch of other aliases, I thought that you all might enjoy Don Wiss's photos of the store. He has captured photos of many scammers in NY for other companies as well.

Digg readers started faxing black paper, crank calling, Dos attacks and spreading the word to the mainstream press. While Digg hus successfully shut down the PriceRitePhoto, the companies other identities still remain. I don't advocate the vigilante justice, but I do advocate reporting these guys to the NY Attorney General and other News Organizations. The more attention that we can bring to this company the more likely we are to see class actions and government action against this bad actor.
