A1books a Barnes & Noble book seller Apparently this seller has a habit of changing the company name to cover up fraud. Turtle speed shipping, and sold books that don't exist Internet

I had ordered a book through the Barnes & Noble online authorized book seller system. The books are not sold by Barnes & Noble, rather they are sold through sellers that are authorized by B&N. I ordered my book on December 3, 2009 with standard shipping as the shipping speed.

I was sent a email by the seller on Dec 4th saying my book had shipped. Today is December 18, 2009 and I have still not received my book.
Yes that is right , it has been 14 days since I ordered my book!

I run a online toy store and I know it does not take 14 days to receive a item, even if it was sent by standard shipping. After waiting a week for my book I got curious and decided to check out the "A1books" seller feedback. What I found was the seller was covering up negative feedbacks with false positive feedback comments.

Every time the seller received a negative feedback it was immediately followed my multiple fake positve feedbacks. And what really caught my eye was that the false positive feedbacks tried to remedy any complaint made by a negative feedback comment. For instance a customer complained that the shipping was very slow.

The negative feedback comment is followed my many fake positive feedbacks claiming shipping was fast. How can the seller suddenly start shipping fast when they keep getting complaints on slow shipping? Trying to improve customer service? No, that is what the seller wants people to believe.

The truth is A1books has repeatedly covered up its poor business practices. In fact I have found that the seller name "A1books" is in fact the sellers 9th seller name. The seller has used the fraud tactic of changing their name since 2005.

There are many more complaints against A1books than just slow shipping. Many customers complained of receiving the wrong item or not even receiving the item at all. The seller also has the habit of selling books which are not even in stock!

And then they send you a email saying your book has shipped. And complaining to A1books customer service is useless because it's nothing more than a automated system. If you are planning to buy a book from Barnes and Noble book sellers, stay away from A1books.

It is my personal mission to put the fraudulent seller A1books and any future name it creates out of business. Because customers deserve better service for the money they spend.

Hello,

Media mail shipping can take up to 14 days to reach it's destination. While I understand that you are in the toy selling business, more than likely you are shipping parcel post which is faster that media mail. Once it leaves our hands we have to rely on the postal service to deliver the packages. That could explain the positive feedback we receive as well especially since we ship out thousands of books a day.
Also to clarify, our name has always been A1Books. We have sister divisions such as a wholesale book department where book stores buy from us in bulk but we've never changed our name.
