AARP Roadside Assistance Deceitful and Incompetent Mesquite Internet

I called AARP Roadside Assistance to sign up. The agent lied to me about the terms of the service. They told me it would be active within 24 hours. It was not. When I called to complain, they couldn't even find my application. I was then told that the service would not be activated until 72 hours.

They had my credit card info and were ready to charge my card, but had no idea where my application was.

Of course, the representative had a heavy accent and most likely is not even in this country.  He was not able to help at all and kept going round and round in circles with me.

When I asked to speak to someone else who had the authorization to cancel the account, he put another non native english speaker on the phone. As a side note, the noise in the background was unbelievable. There were so many voices talking to other customers that it was unbearable. The representative was totally incompetent and unhelpful.

Needless to say, they refused to cancel the account. This is a huge red flag for me. I do not like my information floating around with no answers. Too dangerous these days. I will be calling my credit card and canceling this charge.
