ABES OF MAINE I ordered a camera from 'Abes Of Maine' on-line website and then I was defrauded. Linden, NJ

ABES OF MAINE has a very legit looking website and since they were based in the USA I never doubted them....Boy was I wrong.

HERE IS MY STORY:  I ordered a Canon Powershot D30 camera from Abes Of Maine Online website 3 weeks ago. Long story short the camera never was delivered. When I filled out and submitted the contact us form no one answered back. When I called the Customer service number on the Abes Of Mauine website website the shadyness really began to reveal: The customer service phone number rings 3 times then disconnects. I tried this for several days with no other luck.

Then finally I tried calling their SALES number , and guess what, a person answered ( a man ). Once I told him why I was calling he put me on hold and eventually on through to someone he said could help me.  This customer service person ( a lady ) told me the camera was back ordered and asked if I would like a call from them when it comes in. I knew this was a lie, because I had just spoke with the sales team at CANON and they informed me they stopped making the camera last year. They said if ABES OF MAINE, or any company for that matter,  is till selling them it's only because they have some left in stock from last year. 

So after hearing this Lie from This lady at ABES OF MAINE I assked her to cancel my order and to NOT CHARGE MY AMEX CARD.  But with in 1 hour of hanging up the phone with ABES OF MAINE two mysterious charges were attempted on my AMEX card from a company called " AMC CSTR GCARD ". And not so coincidentally they bill out of Maine.  Luckily my AMEX card fraud department picked up on the fraudulent charges in tiime to stop them. AMEX told me they will be pursing this fraud. In the meantime I will wait for AMEX to send me a new card as my old card was hacked by ABES OF MAINE online customer sales/service people.

BOTTOM LINE: DEFINITELY DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO TO ANY "ABES OF MAINE EMPLYEES, THEY HAVE CROOKS WORKING FOR THEM AND THEY STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO AND ATTEMPT TO DERAUD YOU.
