About The Children Terry Greene-Lawson-Lamothe about the children told me to file my papperwork to the wrong court.  Santa Barbara California

They assured me it was the correct court. it was not I was crushed I was unable to see my children. I am a mother that paid 500.00 to get papperwork, and told to file in the wrong court. I was unable to get my money back it has devistated my life I am still unable to get an attorney because that was all the money I had. my children are not in a stable home because of this they live in a home where they have cps workers in and out. I cry day and night for my children. My ex still keeps them from me..please help me!!!!

I had posted on facebook how my ex-husband was keeping me from my children for no reason. About the Children contacted me, and told me he was abusing my children doing this and they could help me. At first they said they could even help me with an attorney because I live in California while my children and case is in Tennessee. I was quoted a price 600.00. I told them I could pay them in installments and I did. However they would not start my paprewrk until I had paid them. Once I had paid them They emailed me paperwork to edit. I was told to file the paperwork in a court and i did and I got a court date. I was skeptical about the court I thought it was the wrong one. I was asured by Eric that works there that it was the correct court as he had "people" there. So I trusted him. I bought plane ticket (800.00 round trip) and was off to Tennessee.

Once in Tennessee I had to find a place to stay while in Tennessee (500.00). I was so excited I was about to get my children back. I thought. come day of court I was there with bells on happy to see my oldest daughter in court. she had changed alot. (while in her dads custodty at age 13 she had a baby I did not even get told she was pregnant). My son was not there. I was disapointed not to see him too. I waited while my ex who has threatend to kill me, watched and laughted with his family there with him. It was finaly time for court. We were called up. The jugde Looked at me and told me the paprework for my son had been filed in the wrong court. And he told me it was too bad I did not have an attorney. I was at that time served with child suport papers and told to come back.

My children have sufferd threw this I could have gotten an attorney with the money they will not give me back. I do not want to live without my children. I am a mother that has been abused by this man and now he is doing it to my children and no one cares. PLEASE PLEASE help me. 

I got in touch with About the Children and told them of there mistake they told me there was nothing they could do for me. And they will not give me my money back.
