ACA Cheaptrips Not cheaper and they will not refund your money! ripoff Golden Colorado

I travel a lot. When they solicited me on the phone I was very busy and they caught me in a weak moment. They made a lot of promises about free vacations and low cost flights. They also said the airlines would count my trips toward their frequent flier programs. (I don't think that is true.) I was hesitant, but they insisted that I had 45 days to cancel for a full refund of my $108. I took the bait and gave them my credit card number. I received their information packets on May 31, 2005. Within a few days I checked out their deals compared to the usual websites and airlines. I found that for the places I go they were not cheaper.

I immediately went to the section of their website for instructions on how to cancel and ask for a refund. I followed those instructions to the letter and on June 12 I mailed the packet to the address given on the web site for that purpose.

I hear nothing for several weeks so I sent them an email. They replied that I needed to give them my credit card number and other information. I called them and reminded them that they already had the information and that I had followed their instructions. I asked them why they were delaying the process.

Nothing happened. Within a few weeks I received 2 phone calls from them soliciting me to use their service. Both times I took the opportunity to complain about the lack of a refund. The second time the person on the phone put me on hold and after a few minutes told me that they had attempted to refund my money but they had the wrong expiration date for my credit card. She said I would recieve the money in 7-10 days. I asked her to send me a confirming email. She said she would. I never received the email or any other phone calls. I believe they had no intention of returning my money.

This company should be avoided. The only positive note is that I never tried to book a trip with them.
