Acaiaslim, Bromalite, Fit Factory sneaky terms, phone number doesn't work, be careful! Internet

I fell for the Acaiaslim, Bromalite free trial offer. I thought that if Oprah recommends it it must not be all that bad. I never thought that I would be charged a total of almost $350 for a "free" sample of their products, and in the process also be assessed almost $200 in bank fees because I was unaware there were charges coming through and did not add the money to my account.

After seeing the first charges on my statement I tried to call both companies. I was on hold indefinitely with Acaiaslim and the phone just rang when I tried to contact Bromalite. A week later I see two charges from another company of $19.95 each. I searched online to see if I could find any other numbers for the companies. I finally reached all three companies and was able to get refunds for all but one charge. The one charge still outstanding is through Bromalite and they were unwilling to even consider refunding the entire amount. I even spoke with a manager who was very unhelpful.

Their response was that all was included on the terms and conditions. This "terms" agreement was not included with the product sent, but instead was in tiny print at the very bottom of the order form that you do not see unless you scroll beyond the Submit button. I found it after they explained to me where it was located, but did not see it when I placed my order. Unlike most legitimate companies that require you to click an agree button indicating that you read the terms, these companies just throw it in at the end and say "oh too bad" when you do not see it.

I have learned my lesson, quite expensive at $350 in charges and $200 in bank overdraft fees.
