I signed up for free trail, of acai berries. Only to get my credit card bill to see that I have been charged $99.96. I spoke to my credit card company, and asked to freeze this payment, which they did, then investigated company. It turns out that its a shop in America that has my credit details, and they advised me to get and cancel my details as they will be helping themselves to more. This was easier said then done, after spending 2 days on phone being told I didn't exist on any of there records, till I pointed out how are you taking money off credit card if I don't exist, they found me, in the end. They eventually cancelled account before I get sent more vitiams at huge cost but refused to pay back money they have already taken. My credit card company wont do no more till they have letter from them cancelling account which(guess what) they wont send.I have forwarded the cancellation number in the hope credit card company can block them. They will not have it that a free trail means no cost not $99.96 cost, and I get the feeling when talking to them, they really don't give a damm, its all to there gain.

Lesson to all...

Anything that states "free trial", and then requires you to enter any bank or credit card or debit card info.... is setting you up. It does not matter what the reason they ask..shipping/handling etc...it is a set up. Nothing is ever free when it implies something is free...think twice. Better yet don't think at all..just avoid it.

Or at least do a little research..the internet search will give you some insight (including BBB and FTC warnings) that the acia free trials will charge your card, the celebrity endorsements are fraudulent, and that acai berries are nothing more then a berry that is high in anti oxidants..well so are blueberries. No other benefits are scientifically proven, including weight loss. And this is assuming the product even contains any acai berries at all. How would you know...have it DNA tested for purity?

The one problem however with internet searches is these acai scammers got smart. What they did was flood the internet with their own submissions (which are actually advertisements)..so when you google for example (acai scam, acai the truth etc), it may take you to a scammers website where they will tell you other acai offers are a scam..but theirs is not so sign up for their "free trial"..and then your credit card is violated same as the rest.

So again..best to avoid. If you are that interested in any products or offers that state "free trial", but want a credit card..start with the FTC, BBB, complaint boards like this one and others. It will save you a headache and possibly some money.
