These guys are the biggest scammers I have seen before. They use sites like Google Shopping to advertise low prices and use the name "Ace Hardware Superstore" to trick people into thinking they are ordering from the real Ace Hardware. By piggybacking on the reputation of the real store they get people to the website where they order products. The next step is they order the product from their drop shipper so you get charged immediatly but the product takes days to actually ship.

In my experience and after reading the many, many reviews customers all have the same experience. When you contact customer service they not clear and have no idea what is going on. The website does not work properly, emails are not reliability received or sent and you have no way to follow up on a order.

Ace Hardware corporate needs to pull this site down!

Why?

Why would ACE shut them down?

Are they not an authorized ACE dealer?
Does ACE not allow dealers to run independent web sites?
Does ACE not allow dealers to use the name ace hardware?
Are they violating any other terms of the agreement they have in order to be an ACE dealer?

Of course if you can answer these questions that means you are probably a competitor or ex-employee.

I don't know much about your Ripoff, but...

what was the "bait and switch?"

Bait-and-switch is a form of fraud, most commonly used in retail sales but also applicable to other contexts. First, customers are "baited" by advertising for a product or service at a low price; second, the customers discover that the advertised good is not available and are "switched" to a costlier product.

You're just one of a LARGE number of ROR posters who have no clue whatsoever what a "bait and switch is.

Did any of the above happen to you?
