ACS Incorporated Threatened me and my family with legal action and prison time, Internet

I received an email stating that I owed money in the thousands of dollars for an unpaid debt. I was informed that prosecution was inevitable if I did not pay this outrageous amount of money that included court cost and legal fees.

When I questioned this debt such as documents and signatures for the debt they said copies that been sent as well as numerous e-mails and letters to my home address. This Daniel person also stated that I had received phone calls which I ignored. He claimed he was an attorney and if I did not pay this debt (offer of settlement) that he would file suit against my family and have all wages from the entire family garnished and this that he would report me because I was unable to support my children.

I was so scared that like an idiot I paid the settlement amount which went from thousands of dollars to $365.00. The company debited my account on September 3, 2012. Now I find out this company has been scamming many people. What do I do now? I have tried to contact the company with my new found information but they refuse to talk to me.
