This is a warning to anyone interested in Adidas running shoes read further before you purchase. First the shoes: having ran and trained in Adidas shoes for years now and being satisfied with fit and quality I bought a pair of Supernova Control running shoes on August 6, 2003.

These shoes fit well, were comfortable, and problem free until late November, early December when a hole began to appear on the right shoe in the little toe area, which I believe is a little soon for a pair of shoes to wear out on me. I only run twice a week for short distances and weight train in these shoes and don't wear them elsewhere. I have owned five pairs of Adidas shoes before this with the same use and all of them lasted me a minimum of one year, this pair fell apart in 4 or 5 months with the same use.

My old shoes do not show this wear pattern in the right toe even though I weigh the same and run the same in the same exact places.

So, I contacted Adidas through their website and got a return authorization and sent the shoes in along with a copy of my original receipt a few weeks back. A week later they sent the shoes back to me and enclosed a letter stating that the hole was due to normal wear and tear and the shoes exceeded their reasonable life expectancy.

This is absurd that Adidas believes that the reasonable life expectancy for an infrequently used pair of their shoes is less than 4 months. Bottom line here is: Adidas quality has slumped off lately and unless you want to buy new shoes three times a year I'd personally recommend purchasing a different brand, I know that in the future I will never buy another pair of shoes with Adidas on it.

First of all, i agree with you!! The shoes are good looking and all but can not handle the performance, whatso ever!! If you want great customer service, get NIKE!!! Believe me, they do have a certain date range, up to, 3 years, from what ever date it was manufactured on the tongue of the shoe!! nike will pay fix ur shoe at no cost, if it seems pretty bad if not they replace for free as well!! Believe me Nike is the way to go!! I hope this helps you!! Adidas has done the same thing to my fellow workers at Arbys.. it is outrageous
