I ordered a cable for my TV. I was lazy and didn't want to find a Radio Shack so I ordered online from Adorama. I ordered a cable for $12 that would have been $6 at Radio Shack. I was still ok with that because I didn't have to go out of my way. The website said that it would take 5-7 business days to ship. A few days later I got an email saying that the item shipped by drop shipment. I had no idea what that was but I thought, ok, my item is coming. After 14 days I called the company and they explained that the cable wasn't in stock and they "farmed" the business out to another company and that the delay was their fault not Adorama's. I explained that I ordered from them and that the blame was entirely on them. It took another 2 weeks to get the cable. By then I had bought one somewhere else because I was definitely returning this one. I'll be damned if I'm giving my money to Adorama after this. I couldn't refuse the package because I still had no idea who it was coming from so it was delivered. I looked at the Return Policy at Adorama and you have 30 days to return an item. It took 30 days to get the item! Then because it is free shipping I would have the amount of shipping deducted from the return money. That would leave no money for me!
I tried to email the company through their website but guess what?! The website works for orders but there is an Internal Error when contacting them with negative feedback. Figures.
Do not do business with Adorama. I have posted at other websites but even BizRate has them rated highly and you can't post to BizRate so obvioulsy BizRate.com is a bunch of whores that take money for good reviews. If consumers can't post reviews to their website, where do they get their information? Hmmmm.

I was sorry to read that this was your experience, and would like to assure you that this is not the norm at Adorama. We care deeply about our customers, and it always pains me to discover that a valued customer has not received the level of care that we have always aimed to offer since our business was founded 37 years ago. I have reported your problems with the website to our web team and I understand they are working on a fix right now. Regarding the drop-shipping; it sounds as though it was coming directly from the manufacturer, and I can only apologize that on this occasion that didn't work out for you as it should have done. It is possible that UPS temporarily mislaid the cable during the shipping process, which is frustrating but out of our hands. I can certainly arrange for a reply-paid label to be sent so you can return it to us, and you will not be charged for the free shipping cost.
