I had tried patiently to contact customer services to fix the problem with my system when code 13 keep on beeping every time I would pay the bill quarterly or from the time the bill is due, it seemed to always like clock work start beeping then the ADT customer services would consistently argue with me and then I would request their services for repair to only for them to not show up. I would be called to confirm date and time then minutes later reschedule and only to not be given any reason for cancellation. So, I requested an immediate cancellation. They informed me that I would be charged for cancellation which I no longer had a contract over five years ago for two year contract. I wanted and requested immediate cancellation and my money back.

Start using email to document everything. You can then show a pattern of bad customer service. Also cc the president of ADT too, it couldnt hurt.
