I was online and applied for payday loan. Entered my information BUT did not accept any offers. However, I rec'd an email from a person claiming to be from the headquarters of Advance America (which is a ligit payday loan company) informing me that I was approved for a loan of $5,000. It appeared to ligit.
I had an attachment with the approval and acceptance documents. The only thing that alarmed me that this was a scam is that they wanted me to go to a Rite Aid, Walmart, and such and put money on a debit card called "Vanilla Reload Network" and once they confirm the money on the card, they will deposit money into my bank account within 30min.
After looking more closely at the documents, there is no physical address for the company. So I called Advance America (the real company) and this was not them. They do not offer on-line loans. This is a scam do not do!!!
