I ordered this product. the company stated that it had actual ceramic plates. Within 1 week the plates began to peel only to reveal that the plates were actually metal with red paint. I contacted the company (before they even sent out recalls) and I was informed that I had to send the item back with my own money and that they would not refund the postage price. I did so but have yet to receive the new item. This straightening iron cost me $140.00. When I ordered this I was never given the cost of the item just told that I would receive it for the cost of shipping $14.99.

I have spoken to customer service several times and also reported them to my credit card company. I've tried to contact them recently and they claim to be updating their system.

This company is a ripoff, they took me and many others for a ride.
